Who is thinking about your family?

07/29/2020 12:21 PM | Anonymous

You are Thinking about the Community, Who is Thinking about Your Family?

The Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA) has put together some suggestions to share with your family members to keep them safe in the event they do need to leave the house.

  • When you get home, take off your shoes. Wipe down your keys, phone and glasses.
  • Wipe down your steering wheel and frequently touched areas in your car.
  • If you are worried about packages, leave them in your trunk for a few days. If your order something to be delivered, let it sit in the hallway for a few days before opening it.
  • It is not necessary to wipe down every can and bottle that comes in the house. BUT, It is more effective to wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.
  • If/when you take off your mask, make sure you keep the side that touches your face folded in.
  • Take a break from social medial and the news. Limit yourself to one news program a day.

The steps we have taken as a country, by staying home, have significantly lessened the damage this virus could have done. Follow the guidance and recommendations from your county and state public health officers, and make sure your family is too.
